Ankle Pain

It could be the ligaments, from an old or new ankle sprain, or it could be the old arthritis setting in. It could also be a tendonitis, we wont know until we examine your sore foot and ask you a few questions.

We’ll do a physical examination, prod and poke around and test the range of motion in the joint, as well as testing the stability in it, or lack thereof! We also treat you to a bio mechanical assessment, where you get to go on a treadmill and have us record your feet with the iPad – cool hey?

The kind of treatment’s we consider are things like stretching, dry needling, strapping and Shock Wave Therapy. It really depends on the diagnosis and what we find on the day. Some patient’s need orthotics, but that’s only if their feet appear unstable. The iPad will reveal all of this to us.
